Our Ballarat office is currently looking to add an Employment Consultant to its team – a passionate person seeking a career that truly makes a difference to others. 

This role is sales and marketing-focused and requires a motivated individual with experience in client service, who thrives on being part of a successful, results-driven team environment.


Employment Consultant:

The successful candidate will work with both employers and jobseekers to find the best-matched individuals to meet the needs of local businesses. We need someone who is comfortable with proactively promoting our organisation and our jobseekers, and supporting and managing jobseekers as they work towards meeting their employment goals.

The right candidate will have a knack for customer service and a dynamic, confident personality that fits our supportive, team-driven culture. This role is about achieving results for jobseekers. 

We will provide tailored and focused professional development and training so you can meet your full potential and ensure our jobseekers can, too.

Duties will include:

  • Deliver Employment Consultant services to a range of jobseekers from those deemed to be work ready to those identified as having significant barriers, or multiple barriers, to employment
  • Deliver Employment Consultant services that fully meet the requirements of the Employment Services Deed (JA or DES), including assessment, planning, skills development, job placement and post placement support
  • Meet the compliance requirements of the Employment Services Deed (JA or DES) including evidence supporting claims, placement and outcomes
  • Canvas employers and market the services of WDEA Works to enhance employment opportunities for clients. (Face to face contact is essential where appropriate)
  • Accurately maintain a client file / reporting system
  • Adhere to all codes of conduct, service guarantees and service standards (including the National Standards for Disability Services), that underpin WDEA Work's operations
